Business Profile

Castle Howard Lakeside Country Park is a beautiful campsite in North Yorkshire, in the grounds of the historic stately home, set within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The camping and touring section of the holiday park is open from 1st March to 31st October every year, while those who own the holiday caravans on an adjacent static caravan site are welcome to stay at any time throughout the year.

Castle Howard's touring park has 20 pitches available that are suitable for touring caravans and motorhomes, while additional space is available for guests wishing to pitch tents at the park. Pitches for caravans and motorhomes are hard standings with electric hook-ups and are all serviced; a toilet and shower block and laundry facilities are also available on the site for guests wishing to use them.

Park facilities include late arrival service. There is also a farm shop and café in the Stable Courtyard at Castle Howard (free admission).

The park is a short distance outside of the charming village of Coneysthorpe, and there are shops and cafés within easy reach of the park. Anyone looking to explore their surroundings will find a number of walkways and trails that head out from the vicinity of Castle Howard Lakeside Country Park, reaching across the Howardian Hills and further north into the beautiful North York Moors National Park. There are plenty of scenic routes to explore for walking and cycling enthusiasts, while horse riding can be enjoyed from various locations nearby.
